First of all, I loved this cover.  The concept and the colors are perfection.  I was very excited to read this debut because I have always been intrigued by the whole start up process and how it works.    Throw in some office drama and a few million dollar ideas and I was sure that I was in for a treat.   StartUp is described as a “sharp, hugely entertaining story of youth, ambition, love, money and technology’s inability to hack human nature.”  Unfortunately, this book just missed the mark for me.  While it was funny in spots, overall it did not hold my attention and I did not find any of the characters to be that interesting.  The ending was a huge disappointment and I felt that the book just fell flat.   It wasn’t terrible, but I found myself wanting more from the author in how she handled the topic of sexual harassment in the workplace.  Isabel seemed almost flippant about the situation and I feel like the author missed a huge opportunity to make a statement about this issue that so many women are still having to deal with.  This was a 2.5/3 star read for me.
