I love to laugh. I love fresh flowers. I have an unhealthy obsession with shoes and handbags. Books, food and animals are my top passions. I live in the heart of Cajun Country where the coffee is always hot and the food is so amazing that you start thinking about what you are going to eat for lunch around 9:30 am every morning. I love animals of all shapes and sizes, but have a particular soft spot for elephants and dogs. My personal aesthetic is vivid and bright. I love color, pattern and texture. I have a 7 year old son who is LOUD and inquisitive and a loving husband who is always building and tinkering on something when he is not working. I work full time and toys (usually Legos) are always strewn about no matter how often I pick up and more often than not, there is dog hair on the couch.
I have had a book in my hand for as long as I can remember. I absolutely LOVE to read. I am a diehard Louise Penny and Jo Nesbo fan. My “go to” genres are psychological thrillers, southern fiction and historical fiction, but I will read anything if it sounds interesting. I started this blog because of my passion for books (and food – did someone say warm bread?) with the hopes of connecting with other bloggers and writers who share the same love. I am also hoping to help out our local shelters by spotlighting adoptable dogs and cats around my area that are in need of homes. Please head over to Prose and Paws if you are interested in expanding your family with a furry friend.
I thank you for taking the time to check out my little book blog and I hope you will visit again soon!
